Rimah Babiker – Advocate for Black Women in STEM Education
As a Black woman in tech education, I know what it means to move through spaces where you’re seen as the exception—not the norm. That’s why I’ve dedicated my work to changing that reality for others. I’m committed to uplifting and empowering Black women and girls in STEM, both in the classroom and beyond.
My mission is to disrupt the barriers that keep us out—whether they’re systemic, cultural, or internalised. Through inclusive teaching, mentoring, and curriculum reform, I aim to create environments where Black women are not only present in STEM, but valued, visible, and leading.
This work is personal. It’s about representation, justice, and rewriting what’s possible—for ourselves and for the next generation.
