Rimah Babiker – Women in STEM Advocate | Computing Educator

I’m deeply passionate about making computing and STEM fields more inclusive, especially for women and girls who have historically been excluded or overlooked. With a background in teaching ICT and a lived understanding of intersectional barriers, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when young women discover their potential in coding, robotics, data, or design—and feel like they belong.

My mission is to change the narrative: to show that STEM isn’t just about equations or machines—it’s about creativity, collaboration, and real-world impact. I work to dismantle gatekeeping, challenge stereotypes, and make space for those whose voices are often missing from the tech conversation.

Through teaching, mentoring, and digital advocacy, I aim to empower the next generation of women in STEM with the tools, confidence, and community they need to thrive—not just survive—in these fields.
