By Rimah Babiker – Computing & STEM Educator

I became a teacher not for the title, the salary, or the holidays, but for them. For the quiet pupil who feels invisible. For the outspoken one who’s constantly misunderstood. For the child who dreads school because it’s never felt like theirs.

Every child — regardless of background, label, ability, faith, or home life — deserves to feel seen, safe, and significant in the classroom. Education is not merely about performance; it is about dignity. And in my classroom, no child is left behind.

💬 My Beliefs:

🛠️ My Practice:

🌍 Why This Matters:

Inclusion isn’t a checkbox. It’s not just about SEND or EAL or pupil premium. It’s about how we treat every single child — especially the ones who challenge us, frustrate us, or fall through the cracks. These are the children who need us most. And too often, these are the children the system fails.

But not in my classroom.

Here, being different is not a disadvantage. It’s a strength — and I will always fight for systems that honour that truth.

✊ The Pledge:

Even when the world doubts me — I will not doubt them.
