In today’s tech-driven world, we urgently need diverse minds — not just diverse skill sets. Neurodivergent pupils often bring unconventional logic, unique creativity, and deep focus to the classroom.

As a Computing teacher, I’ve seen firsthand how these strengths can flourish — if the environment is inclusive. This means clearer routines, sensory-aware teaching strategies, and flexibility in assessment.

Schools that embrace neurodiversity don’t just accommodate difference — they unlock innovation. That’s why I launched NeuroWise, an initiative to help schools create trauma-informed, neuro-affirming classrooms, especially in high-demand subjects like coding, robotics, and AI.
